Artist William Marsalko's contribution is this depiction of Flight Sub Lieutenant Reginald Warneford's successful attack of the German Zeppelin LZ37. This was the first victory of a heavier than air aircraft over a lighter than air dirigible. Warneford was awarded the Victoria Cross for his bomb attack of the airship but was to die tragically in an accident soon after.

Artist and League member Mike O'Neal depicts American Ace George Vaughn in action in Sopwith Camel F6024 ('N') on September 22, 1918 against a blue nosed Fokker D.VII of Jasta 36 and a D.VII in the yellow markings of Jasta 27. Both units were a part of Jagdgeschwader III, which decimated the 17th Aero Squadron in an earlier encounter on August 26.

Artist Mike O'Neal's depiction of an action which took place on April 23, 1917, when Vzfw. Heinrich Mertens, and his observer Ltn.d.R. Friedrich Feldmann were attacked in their Albatros C.II by eight French SPAD single-seaters of Spa. 102 over Prosnes. They came down in German lines. The pilot, Vzfw. Mertens was uninjured, but Feldmann was severely wounded and died three days later.

(The type Albatros C.II was an Albatros C.VII licensed built by the BFW concern)
