1st Runner-up: Bud Pearson for his 1/48 Blue Max Sopwith Dolphin (his great-uncle's aircraft--James Pearson was a 12-victory ace with 19 Sqn.)
2nd Runner-up: J.R. Boye for his 1/72 Eduard Fokker F.I triplane
3rd Runner-up: Mike Muth for his 1/48 Eduard Albatros D.Va

The League is Returning to Planes of Fame!
For the third year, the League has been invited by the Planes of Fame museum to participate in their "Living History Day" event. This years event will be held on Saturday May 19 and speaking will be J.R. Williams, Al Roessler and Lance Bronnenkant. Ms. Joan Starr and Ms. Nancy Erwin, the surviving nieces respectively, of Lts. Harold Goettler and Erwin Bleckley, Medal of Honor recipients for their fatal flight of October 6, 1918 in trying to locate the "Lost Battalion" along with the artist, Mike O'Neal, have made possible a presentation to the National Museum of the United States Air Force, Dayton, Ohio of the painting titled "Mortal-Immortal" as featured on the cover of Over The Front, Summer 2010 Issue. This painting is to be featured as prominent part of the Museum's World War I exhibit which is to be improved for their 100th Anniversary project.

Members of the League of WWI Aviation Historians receive the League's quarterly journal "Over the Front", the premier publication on WWI aviation history.
