Leutnant der Reserve Albert Dossenbach, Baden's only Pour le Mèrite fighter ace, and his wingman during a balloon attack on 27th of June 1917. The aircraft are yellow nosed Albatros D.V's of Jasta 10, the unit which Dossenbach briefly commanded prior to his death in action. The painting depicts the ace's 15th victory.
